Quite a bit here about what T2 will look like from a playing standard point of view. I seem to remember a single media report a while back saying that T1 wold be professional, T2 semi-pro and T3 amateur. Is this the plan, or is there just not enough money for this? If both T2 and T3 will be amateur, why bother to have the separate tiers at all?
Believe there will be some limited financial support for players in T2 – expenses and possibly (small) match fees; plus more money for coaching etc – so a little more than current “county” players are currently getting.
Just wondering if that means the money for T2 comes from the central ECB pot or if the counties need to find it themselves. Could a non-first class county without great financial resources realistically get a T2 spot?
