  1. Finals day is looking to be exciting, some excellent young players on all the teams and some of the best on this list have really stood out. Batting wise, Perrin, McCaughan and Heath have performed when their sides needed them and should be making the England selectors double-take. For the bowlers, Esmae MacGregor has been a revelation since she came in at Essex and Gray has been improving for them too since the start of the season. Both Taylor sisters have looked very promising – and their batting is also not bad so they could turn out to be good all-rounders. Good to see Gregory in there as well.

Also don’t forget league 2! Incredible performance from Middlesex yesterday to dominate finals day and win both games without a single wicket being lost! They totally aced those chases, after impressive and tight on-the-money bowling performances to restrict Leics and Yorks. Those sorts of results don’t usually happen in finals, and it’s not too often The Middle actually win anything! Huge credit to Izzy Routledge and Finty Trussler who are both names we might be hearing a bit more of in the future. But… Yorkshire are the ones going up – so say the ECB (?!). In fairness they did win every other match in the T20, but still, the predetermined nature of it leaves a sour taste.

  2. Oh look Syd, not a GS anywhere. Also only two present day England players in these figures does that mean you should dismiss all the others. You need to be a bit fairer in your posts.
