Rather than having two tests, how about one five-day test? One of the major problems with women’s tests is that around two-thirds of them end in draws. A men’s test might occasionally end in a draw, but when a women’s test starts, a draw is actually by far the most likely outcome. Is there any reason, in this professional era, why women should play shorter test matches than men?
