Raf and Syd discuss:
- Qualification for the Commonwealth Games
- What should next year’s RHF Trophy be called?
- What should the format be, and should England players play in it?
- How do the regional competitions fit into the overall domestic structure?
Raf and Syd discuss:
One option would be to forget Senior County Cricket/Club cricket and have an Academy side under the umbrella of the Regional set-up. That way, once out of age-group cricket, but having not achieved the Regional 1st teams but still wanting to continue playing cricket at a senior competitive level. Coaches, scouts, etc could then put names forward to the Regional coaches for these amateur Academy sides, who could then play each other throughout the season. This could be funded by all Counties/ECB working together, which would reduce the costs of employing separate coaches, managers, nets, grounds etc,etc
