  1. Given the track record of sporting bodies such as the IOC and FIFA when it comes to standing up for human rights, I don’t suppose we can expect anything more from the ICC than to follow their example.
    (I do accept there is a debate to be had about whether, given governments and businesses have no qualms about ‘dancing with the devil’, why should sport, which in its professional form, is simply a business, do differently)
